Kerri Evelyn Harris, a Dover community organizer and Air Force Veteran ran a progressive grassroots campaign against Incumbent U.S. Senator Tom Carper.
She engaged young voters and ran on a progressive platform of $15-an-hour federal minimum wage, Medicare for all, eliminating all student loan debt and abolishing the federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency.
She won 35% of the vote.
